Informed Design – The Design Process Steps
Design Challenge: What are you supposed to do?
Specifications: The requirements for the project (clues: must); the grading criteria
Constraints: The rules, what you cannot do on the project, when its due, any other limited resource
Research and Investigate: Where did you get your background information to do this project?

Generate Alternative Solutions: Attach any and all sketches including the approved, final sketch.
Choose and Justify: Explain to Mrs. H why the solution you chose was the best (initials).
Develop the Prototype: Build
Test and Evaluate: Data, Label and Calculation for each (number of tests may differ)
Redesign with Modifications: EXPLAIN your results, list what would have made it better. There is no perfect solution so there must always be modifications or improvements listed.
Communicate: Will differ based on project.
